Seats and stools are of course used, in Africa as in all the countries of the world, for the needs of the daily life. But some have a ritual or political significance and are used only on certain occasions (initiation, marriage ...), others are reserved for a political or religious use. You will find on our site a wide choice of these two types of stools; most come from Mali, especially the Dogon country, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Ivory Coast.

Vous trouverez sur ce site une sélection d'objets d'art africain qui, pour nous, n'a rien d'un art primitif ou d'un art premier. Le Mali, avec des objets dogon et bambara, et le Burkina Faso, avec des objets lobi et mossi, sont particulièrement bien représentés avec des masques, sièges, statuettes, fétiches, poulies et autres objets singuliers. Des bijoux africains et des bronzes de Ouagadougou témoignent de la créativité des artistes africains contemporains. Des perles anciennes intéresseront collectionneurs et créateurs de colliers originaux : chevrons, millefiori, perles de Venise, perle en cornaline, pâte de verre, perle en pierre, ...etc.
