Many of the trade beads found in Africa come from Venice. Thousands of tons were exported to Africa from the middle of the 14th century. They were traded for goods: gold, oil, ivory ... and slaves. It is increasingly difficult to find them on the spot. Because of their age, some of these beads have chips.
